RANGE is a generative audiovisual installation that fluctuates between abstract and realistic forms. The work is staged in an extremely tight 3D rendered space. Trapped humanoid figures, with barely any room to move, appear as one ambiguous mass, inside a rather claustrophobic setting.
The work is projected via one ultra wide angle video projector onto all walls, floor and ceiling of the physical installation space, creating a single canvas. Visitors find themselves center stage, seemingly inside a cluster of bodies.
The sound track of RANGE is synthesized in realtime by the motions of the virtual protagonists, diffusing an ever fluctuating, colored drone sound.
