RANGE (2008)

Immersive Audiovisual Installation, Single Projection, 4.1 Surround Sound.

RANGE is a generative audiovisual installation that fluctuates between abstract and realistic forms. The work is staged within an extremely limited virtual space. Trapped figures, with barely any room to move, act as one ambiguous mass. In contrast to the claustrophobic virtual space, the walls, floor and ceiling of the actual installation space are flooded by an ultra wide angle video projector to transform the entire environment into a single living canvas.

The sound track of RANGE is synthesized by the motions of the virtual protagonists, the result is best described as a colored drone.
