KARMA / X (2008)
Audiovisual Installation, 3D Realtime Animation, Stereo Sound.

KARMA / X is an environment in constant upheaval. The installation features a flock of virtual
humanoid figures, ceaselessly crashing into one another, to then being pulled apart again,
by massive gravitational forces. A choreography driven by primal instincts, the work is staged
inside a vertical void space, a kind of holding tank. KARMA / X follows a scripted, generative
framework, alternating periods of hyper activity with periods of near stillness.
Commissioned by LE FRESNOY - Studio national des arts contemporains, for
“Dans La Nuit Des Images”, Grand Palais Paris December 2008.
