MEASURE is part of an ongoing body of work, which reflects on concepts of nature in the 21st century.
As experiencing nature through media becomes ever more the new norm the boundaries start to blur between constructed and pre-existing realities.
Hentschläger’s work probes the question of whether physical “nature” and the concept of the “original” can still culturally be meaningful in the Anthropocene. What exactly is a natural experience now? What can be called original, what is to be understood as constructed and artificial? And do such distinctions still matter?
